A smart strength program that adapts to you.

Reppex writes your program from a few questions, then keeps adjusting it to what you lift, how you recover and the days you can train. Run the session from your phone or your watch, and see the reason behind every change.

Reppex Today screen: Upper A, five exercises, about 48 minutes, with a Start button

How it works

A coach on your wrist, not a logbook.

Most gym apps record what you did and leave the next session to you. Reppex is being built to write the program and adjust it from what happened.

1. The plan

It writes the program.

Answer a few questions about your goal, your experience, your equipment and the days you can train. Reppex builds the program from that, exercise by exercise.

Onboarding question: What is your main goal? Strength, hypertrophy, both, or general fitness

2. The session

The watch runs the session.

The next set, the load, the rest timer and logging are all on the watch. Leave the phone in your bag, or at home. The session works with no network and syncs when you are back.

Watch set card: set 1 of 4, barbell bench press, 60 kg, 8 to 12 reps, Start set
Watch rest timer at 2:27 with buttons to add or remove 15 seconds

3. The adjustment

Every change comes with a reason.

When the next set changes because of the last one, you see a one-line reason and an Undo. You should know why the app did something, and be able to say no.

The logger mid session: set 2 lowered to 57.5 kg with the reason, set 1 ended at RIR 0, and an Undo

4. The bad day

A bad day stays a bad day.

Every session is checked before it can change your program. If it does not count, the program stays where it was, and your history shows which reason applied.

  • Cut shortStopped before half the planned sets
  • RushedRest below the floor on more than half the sets
  • LightVolume under 80 percent of your last three sessions of that workout
  • Run downThe worst answer on two or more of the four check-in questions
  • InterruptedA pause over 10 minutes, or idle for more than half the session

Built in public

The rules, in numbers.

Reppex follows rules you can read. These are from the current build, and the values may change as testing goes on.

Reported failure

40kg37.5kg

Take a set to failure when the plan wanted two or more reps in reserve, and the next set always goes down, by at least one plate step.

Rest is part of the set

60s/45s

A set after less rest than this on a compound lift, or on an isolation, does not count toward progression. There is a 5 second grace. Short rest is allowed. It is just not evidence.
